  • Gel food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.
  3. Beat butter, oil, and sour cream until smooth. Add sugar and vanilla and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  5. Scoop dough onto baking sheets and gently flatten each cookie.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Cool completely.
  7. Prepare buttercream, tint if desired, frost cooled cookies, and finish with sprinkles.
