Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup limoncello
  • 12 savoiardi (ladyfingers)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice mixed with 1/4 cup water
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients on the counter.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon zest until smooth.
  3. Fold in limoncello gently into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the lemon juice-water mix and arrange them at the bottom of your serving dish.
  5. Spoon half of the mascarpone mixture over the soaked ladyfingers, followed by another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture on top.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld.
  7. Before serving, dust with additional powdered sugar or lemon zest.
