Description
A delicious and easy recipe for Gorton’s fish sandwich sliders using Kings Hawaiian buns.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 filets Gorton’s fish sandwich (18 ounce bag)
- 8 buns Kings Hawaiian slider
- 2 Tablespoons butter, melted
- 4 slices American cheese, sliced in half
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- tartar sauce to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Bake 8 Gorton’s fish sandwich filets on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet for 15 minutes.
- While the fish is cooking, coat the bottom of 8 Kings Hawaiian slider buns with 2 Tablespoons melted butter.
- Flip the filets over and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- At the same time, put the rolls into the oven as well. Toast the rolls until light golden brown, around the edges, and then remove the fish and the rolls from the oven.
- If you do not like your buns toasted, just skip this step.
- Top each roll with a half slice of American cheese, a baked fish filet, shredded lettuce, and spread some tartar sauce on the top half of the bun.
- Place the bun on top and serve!
Notes
- Using the container the slider buns came in (with King’s Hawaiian rolls and buns, the container is oven safe). If using another brand, you may need to put the rolls on an oven safe baking sheet – refer to the packaging.
