Description
Delicious cinnamon toast made with thick-sliced bread, butter, sugar, and cinnamon.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 loaf thick-sliced white or brioche bread (about 8 slices)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ tablespoons ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
- In a small bowl, combine softened butter, sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Mix until it forms a smooth, creamy spread. It should be easy to spread but not too melty.
- Lay your bread slices out on the prepared baking sheet. Using a butter knife or offset spatula, spread a thick layer of the cinnamon-butter mixture on each slice, making sure to go all the way to the edges for full coverage.
- Bake the cinnamon toast for about 10–12 minutes, or until the topping is bubbly and starting to caramelize. For extra crispness, switch to broil for the last 1–2 minutes—but watch closely to prevent burning.
- Remove the toast from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. The sugar topping will set slightly as it cools, creating that perfect crunchy layer. Serve warm, and enjoy with a cozy drink of your choice.
Notes
- For an extra flavor twist, consider adding a sprinkle of nutmeg or vanilla extract to the cinnamon spread.
- Be cautious while broiling, as the toast can burn quickly.
